Our Thoughts About Purchasing Fine Diamond Jewellery
If you love fine things, then you probably own many fine items in your home. You probably have expensive clothing, fancy handbags, and an exquisitely decorated home. If you like fine things and do not own very much jewellery, perhaps you should look into purchasing some fine diamond jewellery to add to your collection of beautiful things.
Fine Diamond Jewellery Is The Best!
When you are purchasing jewellery, you want it to be the best possible jewellery for you. You do not want flawed or damaged diamonds—you want fine diamond jewellery. Fine diamond jewellery is diamond jewellery that is flawless. There is no discolouration, the diamond is not chipped, there are no tints or shaded areas, and there are no spots in the diamond. A piece of fine diamond jewellery will appear to be utter perfection. It will sparkle when the sun hits it, and it will glow like none other. Of course, absolutely flawless diamonds are very rare and very, very expensive. However, if you buy the right quality diamond then you can be assured of owning a diamond that looks perfect! We do not recommend paying for quality that you cannot see. For that reason, we carefully choose diamonds that fall into the sweet spot of quality and value. Most of the diamonds we use in our UK-designed and handcrafted jewellery are of G/SI quality. The G refers to the colouration. Almost all diamonds have some colouration, but a G-graded diamond will appear to be perfectly white except under specialized lighting when examined by an expert. An SI-graded diamond will have some internal flaws, but again, these will be very hard to spot except when under high magnification with good lighting. You should not be able to see the very minor internal imperfections. Higher-graded diamonds will always cost you a lot more money for the same-sized diamond.
How To Spot A Fine Diamond In An Antique Shop?
If you love fine things but are on a budget, you can look for antique diamond jewellery. Lucky for you, many antique dealers simply do not know what they are selling. Many times, people have stumbled upon hidden treasures in antique stores and purchased them for very cheap, only to have them appraised for thousands more. Here we should make a big warning! It is not uncommon for sellers of secondhand jewellery to make claims for the items they are selling that are untrue. Just as you may be lucky and find a bargain, you may find that you have purchased something of little value that is not, in any way, a bargain!
If you want to find a piece of fine diamond jewellery in an antique store, try not to let the dinginess or tarnished look of the jewellery put you off. Professional cleaning is not very expensive and will transform the look of the jewellery so that apart from any wear to the precious metal, the piece will look as good as new.
Talk to a jeweller about how to tell the difference between a diamond and a cubic zirconium piece. There are many videos on YouTube that show how to check that diamonds are genuine. Also, check out our article on the subject for more information: How To Spot Fake Diamonds
Look at several pieces of real diamonds and compare them to cubic zirconium crystals. The rainbow sparkle of CZ crystals is a giveaway because no diamond sparkles that way! Once you feel confident that you can tell the difference, go antiquing and see what you can find!

Buying Brand New Fine Diamond Jewellery
If you love fine things and have no problem paying the price for them, know that a piece of fine diamond jewellery will be pricey. You will want to go to a reputable jewellery store, not just a mall jewellery store or your local department store to find your fine diamond jewellery. Very often such retailers have large collections of small, low-grade diamonds.
Of course, we are biased, but these days, we think that buying fine diamond jewellery online makes good sense. For example, we set high standards for the quality of the diamonds we sell, we have a huge range of designs with carrying sizes of diamonds to suit your budget and we offer a 30-day return and exchange period – something that is very rare among traditional jewellery stores.
Traditional jewellery retailers can seem to be a good place to buy because they have specialist sales staff. You will have customer service people at your beck and call to assist you. Because these diamonds are very expensive, stores provide help for you to choose the best one possible for you. They want you to be happy with your choice and will therefore assist you in any way possible. On the downside, all of those ever so helpful sales staff are trained to part you from your money using all kinds of psychological tricks. However, at All Diamond, we also offer personalized service - no matter how much money you plan to spend! There are no tricks, no pressure, just take your time and make the right choices for yourself!
You can ask us questions and get advice by using the chat box on every page of the site. We can help you to choose the right jewellery for you. Many people who go to traditional jewellers feel under pressure to make a choice and buy something. Online, you can take all the time you want. You can browse at your leisure and never have a salesperson ask ‘can I help you?’ and press you. We think that you should be able to take all the time you need to make the right choice for you!
