If you're looking for ways to clean diamond jewellery without using harsh chemicals, then you've come to the right place.

Diamond jewellery can be pretty expensive, but it can be gorgeous as well. It is essential to care for your jewellery as the value can be significantly affected over time. If you don't know how to clean your jewellery properly, you could be putting it at risk.

That's why I came up with several great ways to clean your diamond jewellery without damaging it or using any harmful chemicals.

1)      Use Vinegar & Baking Soda

Vinegar and baking soda are two of the best household items to clean diamond jewellery. While they might seem like strange ingredients, they can clean and restore your diamonds without causing any kind of damage. Do not use this method with jewellery containing natural pearls.

Here's how to do it:

1: Put the jewellery in a bowl.

2: Add a few drops of vinegar into the bowl.

3: Sprinkle a bit of baking soda on top of the vinegar.

4: Mix well.

5: Leave the jewellery in the vinegar overnight.

6: Rinse the jewellery in lukewarm water.

7: Remove the jewellery and pat it dry with kitchen paper, and let it dry in the air until it's completely dry.

2)      Use Natural Solutions

One of the best ways to clean your jewellery is to use natural solutions. There are many different products out there that contain essential oils, including lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange and peppermint. These oils help to remove dirt and other materials from your jewellery without damaging your pieces.

While some of these solutions may be expensive, they are also very effective. Natural oils are probably best used on smaller jewellery items so that you won't need so much of the costly natural oils.

3)      Use Water & Baking Soda

Another great way to clean your diamond jewellery is to use water and baking soda. If you put a little bit of baking soda into some warm water, it will start to dissolve. And since diamonds are made of carbon, the baking soda will naturally dissolve grease and dirt into the water, leaving you with a clean diamond without affecting the gemstones or precious metal.

Here's how to do it:

1: Put the jewellery in a bowl.

2: Add a little bit of warm water into the bowl.

3: Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda on top of the water.

4: Mix well.

5: Leave the jewellery in the water overnight.

6: Rinse the jewellery in lukewarm water.

7: Leave the jewellery in the rinse water until it's completely dry.

4)      Use Milk & Baking Soda

You can also use milk and baking soda to clean your diamond jewellery. This method is excellent because milk is naturally anti-bacterial, and baking soda has powerful cleaning. It's basically like a diamond soap that will dissolve all of the dirt and grime.

Here's how to do it:

1: Put the jewellery in a bowl.

2: Pour some lukewarm milk into the bowl.

3: Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda on top of the milk.

4: Mix well.

5: Leave the jewellery in the milk overnight.

6: Rinse the jewellery in lukewarm water.

7: Remove the jewellery from the rinse water, pat it dry with kitchen paper and allow it to air dry completely.

The final methods are probably the easiest, but they are best used for light maintenance cleaning rather than getting rid of heavy grime.

5)      Clean It With Alcohol

Alcohol is a great way to clean your jewellery. It's non-abrasive, non-corrosive and won't damage the stones.

Simply soak a cotton ball in alcohol and rub it over your jewellery. The alcohol will help to loosen any dirt, grime or other debris so that it can be wiped away easily.

6)      Use Nail Polish Remover

Finally, you could use nail polish remover as a way to clean your jewellery.

1: Nail polish remover is a standard household product, and it is straightforward to use. You just need to mix nail polish remover with a bit of water. About 50/50 will be fine.

2: Then dip your jewellery in it, you could use a small brush to get into nooks and crannies, but for a quick clean, there's no need.

3: When you are finished cleaning, you will want to rinse your jewellery well with warm water.

4: As before, dry off most of the water with kitchen paper and then let the jewellery finish drying in the air.

So, now you have no excuses! Your jewellery should always be clean and looking as good as the day it was delivered to you in its beautiful presentation box!
